Glow policies

Privacy for an interest-led community.

This policy explains how the Glow mobile app handles information connected to your account, topics, messages, Moments, Profile, Wallet, and recharge features.

Last updated: August 19, 2026 Applies to the Glow mobile app

The short version: Glow is a mobile community app for discovering interests, contributing to topics, messaging, and sharing Moments. We use your information to operate these features, provide Wallet and recharge services, keep the app secure, and understand how the app is used. Glow connects to our service providers for these purposes, as described below.

Information we handle

Information you provide

  • Account details: your email address, password, display name, date of birth, and an account identifier when you create an account.
  • Profile details: any profile photo, bio, country, or gender information you choose to add or edit.
  • Community content: topic responses, Moments, captions, reactions, follows, blocks, and virtual-gift activity that you create in Glow.
  • Messages and calls: text, photos, voice messages, and information needed to provide a call or conversation feature when you choose to use it.
  • Wallet and recharge records: your Coins balance, level progress, virtual-gift activity, selected product, purchase status, and transaction identifiers.

Information created by the app

  • Device and connection data: device and app identifiers, device model and operating system, app version, IP address, language, time zone, network state, SIM status, and whether a VPN is detected.
  • Usage and diagnostics: app opens, screen-load events, feature interactions, login events, and technical logs used to operate, measure, and troubleshoot the app.
  • Notifications and attribution: a push-notification token, advertising identifiers, attribution identifiers, and campaign information where available.

Glow does not request access to your contacts, health information, or precise location through the app.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts; show profiles, topics, Messages, and Moments; process Wallet and recharge activity; deliver notifications; keep the app and users safe; detect fraud or technical issues; measure app performance and attribution; and comply with legal obligations.

We use service providers to help operate these functions. This includes backend and hosting providers, Google Play for eligible in-app purchases, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, and Adjust for attribution and measurement. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Storage and retention

Glow stores information locally on your device and through the backend and service providers that operate the app. This may include account data, app state, messages, Moments, Wallet activity, and technical records. Content you select or create may remain in local app storage or cache until it is removed or the app is uninstalled.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, meet legal or security requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to review a deletion request using the contact information below.

Permissions

Glow asks for sensitive device access only when you choose a feature that needs it. You can change permissions in your device settings at any time.

  • Photos: used when you select an image for your profile, a Moment, or a message. Where available, Glow uses the system photo picker to access only the items you choose.
  • Microphone: used only when you choose to record a voice message or use a call feature that needs audio.
  • Camera: used only when you choose a feature that needs a live camera, such as a video call or taking a profile photo.
  • Notifications: used to deliver service messages and other notifications that you choose to allow.

If you decline a permission, the rest of Glow remains available, but the associated feature will not work.

Wallet, recharge, and gifts

Glow may offer Coins, Wallet, level progress, recharge, and virtual-gift features. Eligible in-app purchases are processed by Google Play. Google Play handles payment credentials; Glow does not receive or store your full payment-card number or Google account password.

To validate a purchase, operate Wallet features, prevent fraud, and measure purchase events, Glow and its service providers may process the product identifier, order identifier, purchase token, price, currency, transaction status, and related device or account identifiers. Purchase events may be reported to Adjust for measurement.

Sharing and visibility

Glow is designed for community participation. Information you choose to place in your Profile, topic responses, or Moments may be visible to other Glow users according to the feature you use. Messages are intended for the people participating in that conversation. You control what you publish and should avoid sharing information you do not want others to see.

We may share information with the service providers described in this policy, when required by law, or when necessary to protect Glow, our users, or the public. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Your choices and controls

  • Edit your profile: change your display name, bio, country, gender, or profile photo from Profile.
  • Remove your content: delete a Moment you created from the Moments area.
  • Manage connections: follow or unfollow people, and block or unblock users from the profile and blocked-users controls.
  • Manage permissions: change photo, microphone, camera, and notification access in your device settings.
  • Make a privacy request: contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or another privacy right that applies where you live.

Children's privacy

Glow is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Glow, contact us so that we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Glow changes. We will post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we will provide notice in the app or through another appropriate channel.
